Japan's 250cc World Champion Hiroshi Aoyama will ride a Honda Aspar in next season's MotoGP event alongside American rider Nicky Hayden, who grabbed the 2006 World Championship title on a factory Honda.
Aoyama, who switched from Aprilia CRT machinery to Honda's new production racer, has raced for a number of teams in MotoGP racing events. He graduated to the premier class in the year of 2010.
The Japanese rider substituted for Dani Pedrosa in the factory team for the 2011 Dutch TT. This season, in Malaysia, he competed on one of Avintia's FTR-Kawasaki finishing at 11th.
