Retailers in Northern Ireland enjoy nearly 13% rise in footfall

High street stores and shopping centres in the Northern Ireland enjoyed their highest footfall levels in the month of April since 2012, just released fresh data showed.

According to the Northern Ireland Retail Consortium/Springboard Footfall data, Northern Ireland's retailers enjoyed an impressive year-on-year increase of 12.8 per cent in the number of people passing through stores in April.

Hiroshi Aoyama to ride Honda Aspar in MotoGP alongside Nicky Hayden

Japan's 250cc World Champion Hiroshi Aoyama will ride a Honda Aspar in next season's MotoGP event alongside American rider Nicky Hayden, who grabbed the 2006 World Championship title on a factory Honda.

Aoyama, who switched from Aprilia CRT machinery to Honda's new production racer, has raced for a number of teams in MotoGP racing events. He graduated to the premier class in the year of 2010.

The Japanese rider substituted for Dani Pedrosa in the factory team for the 2011 Dutch TT. This season, in Malaysia, he competed on one of Avintia's FTR-Kawasaki finishing at 11th.

Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson looking forward to getting back in the Star

Andrew `Bart' Simpson, double Olympic medalist, has confirmed that he is looking forward to participate in racing at the London Boat Show.

Sailing and fine art will merge at the upcoming CNM Estates UK Star Championships, which will take place from January 18 to January 20 January.

Thirty-six-year-old Simpson will step into the Star keelboat with his best friend Iain Percy. It will be their first partnership since they won Olympic silver on Weymouth & Portland waters.

The French Triumph at Abu Dhabi’s first race meeting

Last night, there was sense of joie de vivre around the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club as the France's visiting delegation left a lasting impression on the people.

The hosts had invited a French delegation of four trainers and eight jockeys to attend the final race of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival. Also this was the first meeting of the UAE capital race season.
