Hyundai's i10 and i20 come in new avatar

Hyundai has come up with a new avatar of its hit car bands, i10 and i20. These two cars have gone through a makeover.

The two cars have been designed in the research labs of Europe mostly done in Germany. While the new i10 has got newer, better and visibly different headlamps, the bumper and the grill section too has gone through a face lift. It has also been upgraded on the emission front and will be producing 99g/km of CO2 emissions.

In all, i10 has been given a look which is closer to Ford Fiesta. Its well regarded KAPPA motor has been replaced as well.

Sales of Seoul and Hyundai Boost

Shares of Seoul slightly rose on Wednesday backed by the gains of Kia Motors, who had strong July sales in the US. But according to the US economic data, rises are weaker than estimated.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index was increased by 0.14% at 1,793.14 points. For automakers with North American and the U. S headquarters in Orange County, July was witnessed as another profitable month.

Fountain Valley based Hyundai Motor America has sold 54,106 vehicles in July and set a record, as there is an increase of about 19% in sales, as compared to the same month a year ago.

Hyundai Leads the Way for Asian Names’ Gains in U.S.

Hyundai Motor Co. led the way for Asia-based automakers’ U.S. sales gains in the month of June as cautioning consumer confidence cooled demand for new cars and trucks.

Sales at Hyundai, which is South Korea’s leading automaker, was capable of taking a leap of 35% from the preceding year and set a record for the month, the company’s U.S. unit said yesterday.

Other boosts comprised 6.8% for Toyota Motor Corp., which is the world’s largest automaker, 6.2% for Honda Motor Co. and 11% for Nissan Motor Co.

Booking Starts for Hyundai i30

Bookings for the new Hyundai i30 are now open, and the car will officially go on sale across UK on January 04. More-or-less like its predecessors, the car does have a few new additions as well. A new ISG start/stop system is now offered with an addition 200 Pounds on all versions with manual transmission, which leads to an improved fuel efficiency of nearly 10% in the hatchback and about 14% in the estate.
