Google apparently set to introduce a physical Google Wallet card

Close on the heels of the surfacing of several screen shots last week to hint that Google is apparently set to introduce a Google Wallet card, the company's own support forums have now indicated that the physical card companion for Google Wallet - the company's May 2011-launched mobile payment system - is in the offing.

While the disclosure about an imminent Google Wallet card first came from a last-week-leaked APK, Google has inadvertently pointed to a forthcoming official announcement of the Google Wallet card on its Google Wallet website.

Microsoft releases preview of TypeScript

In a move which underscores software giant Microsoft's latest attempts at developing proprietary programming languages, the company has recently released a preview of TypeScript, which is essentially a superset language of JavaScript for web development.

The preview of TypeScript by Microsoft has been launched under the Open Web Foundation's 1.0 specification agreement; though the compiler will be rolled out under the Apache 2.0 license on Microsoft's free open source project-hosting site CodePlex.

Ford unveils refreshed versions of its van fleet

At a prolific Thursday event in Amsterdam, Ford Motor announced its upgraded European line, which - among other vehicles - included revamped versions of its van fleet --- the new 2014 models of the Transit, Transit Connect commercial van and Transit Connect Wagon.

The newly-unveiled refreshed version of the Transit - which has been assembled at Ford's Claycomo factory - is a tall van styled like the Sprinter; and it will replace Ford's E-Series commercial and passenger van in the US from next year.
