Audi Q4 e-tron available in UK with prices starting just over £40,000
German luxury car brand Audi has announced that its all-electric Q4 e-tron is finally available to order in the United Kingdom (UK) in both SUV and ‘Sportback’ coupe versions, with prices starting from £40,750. The battery-powered electric car has been made available with an option of two battery sizes to choose from, three power outputs and four trim levels, with the top model offering a range of 316 miles on a single charge.
The model priced at £40,750 will offers a 55 kWh battery pack with 52 kWh of usable capacity in addition to the company’s entry-level 35 e-tron powertrain. The system delivers 168 brake horsepower, all of which is applied to the rear wheels of the vehicles. The EV is capable of offering a range of 208 miles, while 0-62 mph acceleration time has been pegged at 9 seconds. It also comes with 19-inch grey alloy wheels, LED headlights, cloth-trimmed seats, a digital instrument display and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and three-zone climate control.
The more powerful model with the company’s 40 e-tron powertrain is of course more capable. It has considerable larger 82-kWh battery pack that offers 77 kWh of usable power for the electric motor. The combination of the two offers a range of 316 miles on a single charge. It takes 8.5 seconds to accelerate from 0-62 mph. However, the top speed remains limited to 99 mph.
Andrew Doyle, director of the UK division of the German car brand, said that the arrival of the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron into British showrooms marked a crucial step in the company’s bold electrification plan.
Speaking on the topic, Doyle added, “Both the SUV and Sportback variants bring striking Audi design, impressive packaging, and attractive price points to a new segment of the market. Rapid charging capability and over 300 emission-free miles on a single charge will help ensure our transition from ICE to electric power is a smooth one for our customers.”
In the UK, customers have also been provided with the option of the 50 e-tron Quattro system. It is different from the 35 and 40 e-tron versions as it comes equipped with two electric motors offering 295 brake horsepower and four-wheel drive. As per Audi’s claims, it offers a range of around 295 miles on a single charge, with the ability to sprint from zero to 62 mph in just 6.2 seconds.
