Australian entertainment giant BTG inks new Megaways deal with Microgaming

Sydney-headquartered online gaming giant Big Time Gaming (BTG) has confirmed that it has inked a new partnership deal Microgaming that will allow the Isle of Man’s software provider to utilize its trademarked Megaways mechanics in its future games.

Microgaming and its large network of autonomous game studios will integrate BTG’s innovative mechanics into its new titles that will join the provider’s fast-expanding platform. Shamrock Holmes, an online video slot slated to be released in January 2021, will be the first game to utilize the Megaways mechanics.

John Coleman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Microgaming, commended the commercial partnership, saying that they were excited to be integrating the Megaways mechanics into their upcoming games.

Commenting on the newly-signed deal, Coleman said, “Megaways™ has had huge success and we’re excited to be integrating the mechanic into some of our future games. Big Time Gaming is among proven innovators, and we are delighted to extend our relationship with them and grow their presence on our platform.”

Microgaming’s Commercial Director Leon Thomas also praised the commercial partnership, and added that his company knew its social responsibility of supporting all rules and regulations in regulated gaming markets.

Megaways gaming solutions was launched by the Australian iGaming giant in 2016 with the purpose to increase player engagement in online slot games by providing a dynamic, fast-paced gaming experience. The innovative gaming solution employs a random reel modifier system that enables any given spin to engender an always altering number of symbols across the grid. Doing so enables gamers to experience a fully unique game with hundreds of possible ways to win.

Nik Robinson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Big Time Gaming, said their deal with the Isle of Man-based software provider was part of their mission to bring the Megaways™ innovative technology to a wider audience around the globe.

Robinson further said that Microgaming’s team was the pioneer in the industry and they still remained one of the biggest software providers in the field of iGaming, and they were really delighted to contribute to its success story.

For the past few weeks, Microgaming has been quite busy, with release of a number of new slot games from its network of autonomous games development studios. While the widely-acclaimed Royal Mint hit the market on 5th of October, video slot Chocolates was rolled out on 12th of October. The much-anticipated Final Countdown is all set to hit the market via the Microgaming platform on October 26, 2020.
