On Saturday, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh launched the new Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.

At the event, the Prime Minister said that the aviation sector is important for sustaining monetary growth in India. He revealed that the aviation industry played an important role in creating the flow of tourists and giving an impetus to the industrial development.

Dr. Manmohan Singh disclosed that this sector generates new jobs and also helps in integrating the country.

Health Ministry Gets PM’s Support for Maintaining Medical Education

The Health Ministry has the support of the Premier on a row with the Human Resource Development Ministry regarding the management of medical education in the nation following the closure of the Medical Council of India.

The Prime Minister's office has informed that medical education might not come under NCHER.

The National Council for Higher education and Research comes under the human resource development ministry.
