Swiss privacy watchdog to sue Google over Street View application

Google

Switzerland's privacy watchdog said Friday that it would take legal action against Google Inc. to compel it to amend its Street View application.

Hanspeter Thuer, the Federal Data Protection & Information Commissioner, said that they were concerned about persons and cars being shown on Street View, especially outside sensitive locations such as schools, hospital etc.

The Street View application put street-level photographs over the internet and allows people to be identified without their knowledge.
