Google's recently launched VoIP based phone service will carry the same name tag as Google is in no mood to offer it as a standalone service.

The official from Wired, Ryan Singel states that Google tries to gain edge over Facebook with its so called Gmail phone call service.

The search biggie is aiming to restrict users to one point where users are get one roof to work along with hundreds of millions of regular users.

The mobile operator Vodafone is not willing to affirm speculations that Google's Nexus One mobile phone will be supported by its network in April. This leads to one to conjecture that the device may have lead to further delays.

Nexus One was released in January as the flagship Android OS smartphone. However, recurring delays imply that the phone may be further delayed in the UK.

Vodafone spokesperson declined to comment on the issue and only evinced that the device will be available in “spring”.

It has been reported that the first 3D TV went on sale in the UK, on Friday. The sale was made irrespective of the paucity of 3D content.

Samsung officially released its 40-inch 3D set at selected John Lewis, Curry's and Comet stores. The set is priced at £1,799. The release of the Samsung 3D TV is followed by the release of Panasonic’s 3D TV model slated to be launched in the following week.

It has been reported that Sony and LG will also be launching their 3D TV’s in the coming months.

The Samsung has confirmed that its much-anticipated Wave S8500 smartphone, which was unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, is scheduled to hit British stores in June.

Commenting on the topic, the Samsung said in a statement, “We look forward to its launch in June 2010, at which time details of tariffs and stockists will be released by our operator partners.”

The Samsung Wave S8500, which will have an AMOLED 3.3-inch touch-screen, is going to be the first smartphone that will be based on company’s Bada mobile platform.

Sold under the Crucial brand name, the new Real SSD C300 drives employs the use of SATA 6Gb/2 and Open NAND Flash Interface 2.1 specifications, which allow the drive to deliver sequential read speeds of up-to 355Mb/s and sequential write speeds of up-to 215Mb/s.

The speeds offered are much faster than both Intel and OCZ's flagship products.
