Call of Duty : Black Ops for PS3 gets new patch for bugs

A new patch has been released for the Call of Duty: Black Ops game title for PlayStation 3 gaming console as the popular game continues to be affected by bugs.

Game developers Treyarch released patch 1.05, which they claim will be able to resolve most of the issues in the game. The gamers have complained of several online connection problems. The developers had released a major patch last week but it did not fix the problems.

Gaming portals head for the holidays

Popular gaming sites are heading for holidays and posting greetings to their readers after a year packed with significant developments in the gaming industry.

Among some of the headlines in the industry included game developer Activision storming the Infinity Ward offices and sacking its co-bosses, surprise launch of the Nintendo 3DS and even Alan Titchmarsh and co targeting the editor of popular portal, CVG Mr. Tim Ingham.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim confirmed at 2010 Spike VGAs

Developer Bethesda confirmed "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim", the sequel to the Elder Scrolls series. The highly anticipated sequel was confirmed at the 2010 Spike TV Video Game Awards in Los Angeles.

The teaser trailer for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was narrated at the 2010 Spike VGAs by well-known actor Max von Sydow. A series of wall relief sculptures of warriors and the head of a black dragon were shown to visitors, instead of gameplay footage.

The potential game is named after a cold and mountainous region, called Skyrim, where the first human settlements are believed to have founded.

Bridge crash lorry driver released on bail

Police arrested and later released a 28-year-old man on bail for driving without due care and attention.

The 28-year-old lorry driver from Colchester who crashed the vehicle into a bridge on the A120 was arrested in Suffolk. Officers have been investigating the incident while he has been released on bail until 4th of January.

Police was informed at around 5.30pm on Friday after the lorry carrying a large excavator crashed into the bridge causing concrete to collapse onto the road. But, the lorry kept on running on to the A12 towards Ipswich.

Sony launches PS2-integrated TV

Electronics giant Sony has launched a brand new Bravia HDTV, codenamed Bravia KDL-22PX300, which features an in-built Playstation 2 (PS2) games console.

Sony's 22-inch Bravia KDL-22PX300 has an in-built disc slot that allows users to play PlayStation 2 games.

Though the Bravia KDL-22PX300 supports 720p video playback, the PS2 games can be played only in standard definition. The TV comes with one PlayStation 2 controller.
