Scania reveals plans to launch full-size 40-ton capacity long-range electric truck

Swedish manufacturer Scania AB has announced that it is working on a new long-distance electric truck that will be able to carry a total weight of 40 tons for more than four hours on single charge

U.K. Fair Trade Office Investigates Suspected Cartel Activity in UK

Britain’s antitrust regulator is reported to have initiated probing into suspected cartel activity among commercial vehicle makers in the UK.

The investigation is claimed to center on some of the major truck manufacturers in Europe including Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz unit. In addition, the probe embroils Fiat SpA’s Iveco unit, Scania AB and Volvo AB’s subsidiaries Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks.

As per the recent reports, the OFT has recently jumped in the UK offices of Mercedes-Benz trucks at Tongwell near Milton Keynes in southeast England for investigation purposes.
