Nokia C6-01 smartphone details leaked online

More details on the new Nokia C6-01 smartphone have been leaked online, which claims that the Nokia C6-01 will run on Symbian^3 operating system and will lack a QWERTY keyboard.

The newly leaked reports confirm previous rumors that emerged following a picture of comparing the C6-00 and the C6-01 smarphones was posted online depicting that the C6-01 had a sleeker profile.

The device is expected to come equipped with a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display and an 8-megapixel camera with a flash. For connectivity, it will offer WiFi and GPS. Of course, this is just a speculation.

The model supposedly is out of the generic models of Nokia and comes with an entirely different price range.

Users can have the phone for as little as £20 a month for a 24 months contract with 100 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB internet data; with unlimited texts and 900 minutes and will be priced at for at least £10 extra per month.

The phone features a full slide out QWERTY keypad, 5-megapixel camera with AF and LED Flash in addition to the HSDPA, a 3.2-megapixel touchscreen, Wi-Fi with internet accessibility.

The 5250 XpressMusic handset runs Symbian S60 5th Edition operating system, and features a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen, 128MB RAM, which can be increased to up to 16GB with a microSD card.

The upcoming device is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera without flash. You can also expect the 5250 handset to come with Bluetooth, FM Radio and OVI compatibility. 3G and built-in GPS are also possible.

The Nokia N8 may arrive by the end of August

Nokia's next flagship device, the N8 smartphone, will be available for purchase by the end of this month.

Online retailer MobileFun has shown the imminent N8 smartphone on a pre-order, claiming that the phone would be in stock on August 26.

The SIM free 16GB N8 from MobileFun will set you back by £420. The high end phone has been priced much less than the 16GB iPhone 4, which starts at £499.

Play.com has also been mentioning the N8 smartphone with August 31 launch date.

The new service will allow users to make search for local attractions, hotels and restaurants. Users will also get reviews from TripAdvisor’s fifteen million users. In addition, the service will bring the latest information on flights.

The app will be made available in as many as twelve languages throughout the world within a month.

Mobile phone operator Orange UK has listed the latest Nokia E-Series smartphone, the E5, in the “coming soon” section of its website.

Orange UK said that the Nokia E5 would be available shortly on a range of monthly contract options.

The Nokia E5 is equipped with a 2.36-inch TFT display with a resolution of 320 by 240 pixels, a 5MP camera with LED flash and an ARM11 600 MHz processor.

As claimed by SlashGear, the N8 smartphone could be launched by Nokia via T-Mobile sometime around late August.

The N8 runs the MeeGo operating system rather than Symbian and comes with a 12-megapixel camera, 3.5-inch display, proximity sensor, accelerometer and compass. For connectivity, the device offers b/g/n WiFi and HDMI.

The Company had also raised concerns in the month of June that its profits will be under pressure and it will not be in a position to compete effectively in the smartphone segment.

Nokia published a blog post titled "How do you hold your Nokia?" on Monday, depicting four ways to hold a handset viz. 'thumb and finger', the 'cup', the 'balance' and the 'four edge grip'.

The post by Nokia emerged after Apple’s chief executive Steve Jobs said iPhone owners facing signal problems should learn to hold the phone in an appropriate way.
