CVS-Walgreens Feud to Affect Customers

After the CVS Caremark expelled the rival Walgreens from one of its pharmacy benefit plan, customers will be forced to pay a higher amount for the drugs of Walgreens pharmacies.
CVS stated that the dropping off will be effective in 30 days from now. It was also informed that Walgreens will not be allowed to participate in CSV’s Medicare Part D retail pharmacy networks.
CVS Caremark Earnings Manage to Beat Estimates, Sales Fall Short
Submitted by Sunil Kumar on Mon, 02/08/2010 - 22:06On Monday, CVS Caremark Corp. managed to report a larger-than-estimated hike in its quarterly earnings, mainly on the back of the company attracting more business at its pharmacy benefits management division.
Despite the fact that total sales fell short of the expectations pegged by analysts, sales at drugstores which had been open for a minimum of a year managed to far outrace the recent results posted by the much larger American drugstore chain Walgreen Co.
