Chrysler unveils industry’s first light-duty diesel-powered pickup

Chrysler Group has recently introduced the world to its new 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, which as per the company's claims is the industry's first light-duty diesel-powered pickup.

The 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel pickup comes equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesel engine, which is produced by the company's long-term engine Italian supplier VM Motori.

Chrysler to launch EcoDiesel-equipped Ram 1500 pickup

The Canadian Institute for Health Information released its latest report on Thursday, which said patients in Canada have increasingly reported need for kidney in past years.

By 2011-end, some 4,500 Canadians or more were on the waiting list for an organ transplant. If 265 deaths were seen in all, 80 of them were in need of a kidney, the much-needed organ.

According to the institute, "Pre-emptive kidney transplants - ones performed immediately when end-stage renal failure is diagnosed with no time on dialysis - are becoming an increasingly important treatment option in Canada".

Chrysler to begin production of Dodge Dart soon

Close on the heels of the last-week disclosure by Chrysler and Fiat's CEO Sergio Marchionne that the early-April production schedule of the Dodge Dart has been delayed somewhat due to some "important issue" with an unspecified component, it has now been revealed by George Welitschinsky - the president of United Auto Workers Local 1268 - that finished Darts will begin rolling off the assembly line from May 3.

Fiat assures to register profit this year

On Monday Chrysler, the smallest of Detroit’s automakers has recorded a loss of $199 million in the fourth quarter. However, Company has assured to return to the path of success in this financial year. It is coming up with some new products and anticipating a good result this year.

Chrysler has hold-up its American rivals like General Motors and Ford. This was done for rebuilding its operations and balance sheet after industry sales drooped badly in the year 2008 and 2009. The deficit in the same quarter a year ago was $2.7 billion.

Marchionne: Fiat Getting Rid of Its Industrial Business

Sergio Marchionne, CEO of both Chrysler and Fiat, made an announcement saying that Fiat will be digesting its non-automotive industrial business, as it gets the approval of the investors. Earlier, the shareholders approved on the plan of Fiat divesting the industrial and marine operations into Fiat Industrial.
