Several prospective parliamentary candidates (PPCs) have openly announced their support to Ed Miliband's proposal to put British railways back in government hands.

The Observer reported that a large number of Labour PPCs had undersigned Mr. Miliband's proposal to re-nationalise railways.

London tube users may soon be able to purchase tickets or make payments for journeys through their NFC-enabled mobile devices as the transporter is testing a new payment system for the same.

Transport for London is in talks with two network providers, viz. EE and Vodafone, to allow commuters to pay for their tube fares using their smartphones.

Eurostar issues apology for train delay

Eurostar train service has apologised to thousands of passengers whose Easter travel plans disrupted on Thursday night due to a couple of problems inside the tunnel.
