Twestival to raise funds to provide access to education

Twestival event urges people to donate for the needy people. This year, people from more than 175 cities around the world will take part in the event.
This year, the event is going to raise money for Concern Worldwide, which is trying to improve education in poverty striken countries.
Critics want Google Street View to remove controversial images

Herefordshire MP Paul Keetch criticized Google Street View for illegally publishing photos of the SAS headquarters as he feared that this could encourage terrorist attacks.
Mr. Keetch has already urged Google to remove the images of the SAS headquarters.
Mario Creator Aiming to Bring Wii to Japanese Schools

YouTube founders made big money from its sale to Google: documents

Viacom presented the documents to prove that YouTube’s creators and Google benefited from letting copyrighted videos be posted at the website.
Sequoia Capital, which had invested around nine million US dollars in YouTube, received about 516 million US dollars worth of Google stock.
Batman: Arkham Asylum bags best game title at Bafta

Batman: Arkham Asylum outshone its nearest rival Uncharted 2: Among Thieves to win the award. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves had the most number of nominations.
In addition, Batman: Arkham Asylum grabbed the best gameplay.
Awards for best action and story went to Uncharted 2. In total, Uncharted 2 took away four awards.
Virgin Media demos 200Mbps broadband at the Ideal Home Show

At the Ideal Home Show, visitors will be able to become acquainted with some of the ways the superfast connection can be used at homes.
Speaking about the new service, Virgin Media said, “Ultrafast broadband like our 200Mbps service will enable a whole household to enjoy cutting-edge entertainment, not just via computers, but through an array of gadgets all over the home.”
Google Street View under fire for showing images of secret SAS HQs

The entrance to the SAS headquarters had never before appeared on maps for security reasons. But, Street View service showed the 180-degree view of SAS headquarters’ boundary.
Experts say that these images could be used for terrorist attacks.
Google has promised that its Street View service would not show faces and licence plates.
Sky to launch 3D service on April 3rd

Satellite TV provider Sky will screen Manchester United’s clash with Chelsea on the day of launch of the 3D service.
Commenting on the topic, a spokesperson for Sky said, "It's fitting that one of the biggest games of the season will be the launch pad for our pioneering service."
Palm Inc. Suffers Lower Losses

Microsoft’s IE9 will not run on Windows XP

Speaking on the topic, a spokesperson for Microsoft said, "IE9 requires the modern graphics and security underpinnings that have come since 2001.”
The statement clearly indicated towards XP that appeared that year.
Downloads of Opera browser jumps more than double

From March 1, Microsoft started offering its customers a choice of 12 browsers to settle European Commission antitrust charges. Earlier the software giant had been compelling its customers to install its own Internet Explorer browser as a default.
Five HD to appear on Sky this summer

Five HD has become the 42nd channel to join Sky's HD array. Sky will start showing Five HD in July this year. It has plans to show popular American programs such as CSI.
Earlier, Ofcom rejected channel Five’s request to allow it to launch an HD channel on Freeview this year because it could not manage to fulfill 'key criteria' to keep its slot.
