Chipotle revenues rose 24.4% to $904.2 million

Chipotle Mexican Grill has said that it has recorded an increase of 24.4 per cent in its revenues to the level of $904.2 million during the first quarter of the year compared to the same quarter of the previous year.


InterContinental Hotels Group Revenues rise

Due to an increasing demand in the business travel sector, InterContinental Hotels Group’s revenues raised by 6.7% in the third quarter of this year. 70% of the key hotel operator’s profit comes from the US. The firm reports that their profit from every rented room also increased by 7.9%.


Middle Eastern group shelling out £90m

The Italian-themed restaurant operator, Carluccio's, has nodded to a £90.3m conquest by a Middle Eastern retail company that might net Richard Caring, its leading shareholder and proprietor of the Ivy restaurant in London, a enormous payout.

The chairman of Landmark Group, Micky Jagtiani, who is one of Asia's richest men, has bid 142p a share for Carluccio's, which is a 48 per cent premium to the concluding price on Wednesday.

Hotel giant Accor sees increasing demand for rooms

The hotel giant Accor has seen its profits more than doubled in the first six months of this year boosted by increasing demand for rooms and cost cuts. The company earned 154 million euros in the first six months and its sales grew up by 6.1% compared to last year.

The shares of the company also grew as its investors appreciated the company's decision to squeeze the debt levels by 600 million euros to 650 million euros in this year.
