The firm is now totally relying on the viral marketing or word-of-the-mouth to pump up the sales for PS3 controller.

This new A/V cable are essentially CAT5e/6 networking cables that aren't common yet they allow for cable lengths to go up to 100m, far more than HDMI, without the need for pesky and expensive repeaters.

DSG and Kesa to report trading figures this week

DSG, which owns Currys as well as PCWorld chains, is expected to post underlying pre-tax profit in the range of £80 million to £90 million for the full-year. Last year, the retailer DGS, which was previously known as Dixons, had posted pre-tax profit of £50.5 million.

3D TV Makes Debut Sale in UK on Friday

Samsung officially released its 40-inch 3D set at selected John Lewis, Curry's and Comet stores. The set is priced at £1,799. The release of the Samsung 3D TV is followed by the release of Panasonic’s 3D TV model slated to be launched in the following week.
It has been reported that Sony and LG will also be launching their 3D TV’s in the coming months.
Barnes & Noble Launch Version 1.3 for Nook

Sony Ericsson to release major update for Xperia X10

The update will address two big gripes viz. Android 1.6 and lack of multitouch. The upcoming update will replace the Android 1.6 platform with Android 2.1 and add multitouch to the handset.
The update will allow Xperia X10 to compete with the likes of Nexus One, HTC Incredible and Samsung’s Galaxy S.
LG introduces LU2300 Android Smartphone

The high-end smartphone has been rolled out with a view to grab some of the market share from the likes of the HTC Legend and Xperia X10.
The LU2300 is equipped with a 3.5-inch capacitive touch-screen, a 5-megapixel camera, 1GHz Snapdragon processor and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for easy emailing.

Best Buy teams up with Panasonic to sell 3D TVs in the US

The bundle, which costs $2,899.99 in total, includes a 50-inch plasma 3D Viera set, a Blu-ray based disc player and viewing glasses.
The bundle was made available for purchase on Wednesday via Minneapolis-based Best Buy's Magnolia Home Theater unit.
Cost Cuts Boost Profits at Phillips

This was a result of the cost cutting strategy put in place that resulted in the termination of 5474 jobs. However, it seems to paid off as despite decline in sales, with the fourth quarter sales falling by 3.4% to 7.3 billion Euros, the company reported high profits in all divisions .
Philips Reports €260 Million Net Profit

The company revealed its net profit for the quarter ended Dec. 31 as $367.6 million, compared with a net loss of €1.17 billion the previous year, surpassing the analysts' expectations for net profit of €255 million. Fourth-quarter sales were €7.3 billion, slightly down from €7.6 billion a year earlier.
GE Reports Decline in Fourth-Quarter Earnings

The fall in profits has mainly been attributed to the finance unit's absorption of losses, in addition to slowing in shipments of aviation and energy as compared to last year.
As per official numbers posted, earnings from continuing operations for the three months up-to December 31 fell by 22% to $3.03 Billion, or 28 cents per share, from last year's figure of $3.87, or
