New car sales of UK fell down sharply

As per the report of SMMT in August 55,305 new cars were registered which was 17.5% less than the registration of the same month of last year. The SMMT has warned that the market would remain difficult for the rest months of the year however the experts had expected more than 2 million new cars to be sold in this year.
Toyota is working on a four door FT-86 sedan: report

Australian site Carsguide claims that Toyota is working on a smaller version of the FT-86 to offer a sports coupe in the range of sub-$20K.
The rear-drive four-door FT-86 Sedan will be smaller in size than the Lexus IS models. It will feature the same 2.0 liter Subaru Boxer as the coupe version. It was also claimed that a Subaru 3.6-liter H6 could be offered in addition to a hybrid model. It will also feature a six-speed manual gearbox.
Renault releases images of revamped Laguna

Renault has released some pictures of the new Laguna. In the released pictures, the Renault Laguna looks sharper and sportier at the front, which makes it more attractive that the previous version.
Interior features have also been driven up. The company claims that the new version comes with the highest level of quality, reliability as well as safety.

Ford unveils new 2011 F-150 SVT Raptor with remarkable new features

The standard 5.4-liter V-8 will be replaced by the future 411-horsepower 6.2-liter engine. GM to unveil Cruze hatchback at Paris Motor Show

The Chevy Cruze hatchback, which is about the size of a Honda Civic or Ford Focus, will go on sale in Europe next year.
The company also announced that five sedan models of the 2011 Chevy Cruze would be introduced this month to the domestic market. General Motors’ North America president Mark Reuss along with Ohio Governor Ted Strickland will unveil the Cruze on Wednesday. The Cruze will hit the US showrooms later this month.

UK car output fell 9% in July

Despite fall in monthly production of cars, total number of cars produced during the year-to-date was still 41.7 per cent higher than the corresponding period of last year. Total number of vehicle produced in July slipped 7.5 per cent to settle at 107,578, while engine output was down 3.4 per cent.
Car Production Witnesses Slump of 8.9% in July

243,000 Crossover Vehicles See a Seatbelt Recall by G.M.
