Nokia launches C6 smartphone in the UK

Handset manufacturer Nokia has announced the launch of its new C6 slider smartphone in the UK.

The new handset is available for purchase directly from Nokia with a price tag £289. It is SIM-free that allows you to use the phone on any network with your existing SIM card.

The Nokia C6 comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera with LED Flash, MicroSD support and FM radio. For connectivity, the handset offers 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth.

The homescreen of the phone allows its users to pick live widgets for social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook, ensuring you do not miss any of the social goings-on in your life. But, the handset runs the slightly aged S60 operating system.

It has a sliding QWERTY keypad, which is designed keeping in mind it use for social networking and messaging. The phone also comes pre-loaded with almost all the key instant messaging clients including Yahoo, Hotmail and Windows Live.

The C6 comes in two colours viz. white and black to choose from.
