The UK division of Samsung is using social networking site Twitter to offer its Galaxy S smartphones to frustrated iPhone 4 users for free.
Company’s Twitter account, @samsungukmobile, has reportedly has reportedly been sending messages to other members of the site offering them Galaxy S handsets for free, after they had used their Twitter accounts to share complaints about their iPhone 4.
It may be noted here that iPhone 4 has be plagued by the reception issues since its launch in June. Currently, experts are warning the iPhone users that a glitch in the phone’s software could make them face hefty roaming bills despite taking all the necessary steps to avoid the data charges.
When contacted, Samsung confirmed that the Twitter account offered free Galaxy S handsets. The company said it offered free Galaxy S handsets after seeing a growing wave of dissatisfaction among the new iPhone 4’s users.
A tweet by Samsung reads, "Yes, we’re giving away Galaxy S'. We’re proud of it so wanted to get it into some people’s hands to spread the word. Only a few left!"
The company added that it was confident that once iPhone 4 users have their hands on the Galaxy S, they would see how impressive the devise is.
