New Site to Provide Health Insurance Options

According to a recent report, the Department of Health and Human Services has unveiled a website called HealthCare. gov. The website will be instrumental in providing its users adequate information regarding public and private coverage.

If a person is keen on finding an individual insurance policy, then he will be asked to give his age and the details regarding the residence. He will also have to provide information on whether he has any medical condition or not.

After providing the required information a customer will get a list of plans which are available in his area. The customer will also get a summary of the advantages of each plan and they will also be equipped with information on whether their physician is in the plans network or not.

However, up till October the users will not be given the estimates. For getting the prices, the person will have to contact the providers directly.

Policy Analyst for the Kaiser Family Foundation, Jennifer Tolbert said that overall the site would prove to be very beneficial to the consumers.

She said that the health insurance sites give premium quotes for the individual insurance plans but they don’t provide data regarding the programs run by the Government for customers and their children.
