iPhone 4 Facing Problem with Antenna: Apple Admits

Apple is admitting to its costumers the fact that its iPhone 4 is facing troubles with its finicky antenna, and the Company has responded to all questions from tech blog Gizmodo over this issue. A specific sensitive part of the antenna of iPhone 4 in the left hand is getting blocked, and it cannot be transformed by a software patch.

Gizmodo had said that it had called Apple Care thrice in a day to confirm the error. The Company responded well to the former’s calls, but with same answers all three times. Now, Apple Care has suggested its users, who are finding this problem, to hold the phone differently.

Last weekend, a note had been released by Apple's Corporate PR Department, which asserted that iPhone 4 is not inundated with any reception woes and there was a software error coming up which is merely telling the users that their signal was stronger than it was in reality.

Apple said, “Upon investigation, we were stunned to learn that the formula we use to calculate how many bars of signal strength to display is totally wrong. Our formula, in many instances, mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should for a given signal strength. For example, we sometimes display 4 bars when we should be displaying as few as 2 bars”.
