UK retailer Tesco PLC has plans to make its sales better by re-launching its Clubcard, its loyalty scheme next week and offering card- holders double points on all spending at its store.
Tesco's new as well as existing Clubcard holders will get two points for every £1 they spend at any Tesco store or online, starting from Monday.
The points will finally be converted into vouchers which can be spent at cinemas, restaurants and attractions which have agreements Tesco.
Tesco's UK Marketing Director, Carolyn Bradley said, "No other supermarket offers customers the low prices and great promotions they want as well as a big thank you for shopping."
Tesco's current move is seen as an effort to recapture its lost share in the market.
Tesco's market share plunged to 30.7 percent, from 31.3 percent a year earlier.
Tesco reported 4.3 percent rise in Q1 sales, its best quarterly performance in the last two years, but its rivals like Morrisons are outshining it.
