Dentist Arrested on Charges of £1million NHS Scam

A woman dentist has been captured and alleged with cheating the NHS out of £1million.

Attractive Dr. Joyce Trail, 48, who also operates a medical "spa" offering botox, presented up to 5,000 false patient bills to extort the amount, officials assert.

She has been accused of one count of acquiring fake money transfer by cheating, and three scams. She will show up before the magistrates later this month.

She was grabbed after NHS fraud busters and the police started an investigation into what they feel is one of the largest dental frauds in history of Health Service.

Two years back Dr. Trail launched Birmingham's first medical spa, proffering treatments like facials, "smile makeovers" and curative massage.

Her dental clinic is in shabby Handsworth, where she grew up. She now resides in posh Sutton Coldfield.

The supposed scam is said to have happened from 2006 to 2009.

A Spokeswoman for the Heart of Birmingham Teaching Primary Care Trust substantiated that Dr. Trail has been suspended.

Joyce was practicing for 12 years.

Last night Dr. Trail, who has been suspended by health directors, promised to prove her ingenuousness in court.
