Magnetic Hill’s Charm Will Stay

A lot of changes have taken place at The Magnetic Hill over the last few years. It has now become a weekend getaway with various other things. It now boasts of a Magnetic Hill Zoo, today boasts one of the most visited water theme parks in Eastern Canada, Magic Mountain, and is home to the Magnetic Hill Concert Site.

It is difficult to imagine that this pace had such simple beginnings. Local residents like Doris Connors feel that they do not hear a lot about Magnetic Hill these days. They feel that other attractions are becoming more prominent while the old hill is now not as important.

Connors who runs an overnight hostel in The Moncton Hospital that houses patients and families is a native of Metro Moncton. There is a $5 charge for the trek up the hill and some locals are surprised to know this.

A Japanese scientist has recently won an award for duplicating the kind of optical illusion that for decades has baffled tourists who visit the fabled Magnetic Hill. It may lead to a lot of curiosity among the tourists to visit this spot. Some people are questioning if the latest scientific discovery may impact the status of Magnetic Hill.

Many still feel that people like to come to Magnetic Hill and experience it themselves. Tourists are visiting the southeastern New Brunswick city since the 1930s.
