In a press release sent out by Naga People's Organization (NPO), Senapati District, the burning of the health care infrastructure was severely denounced by the organization.
Reports claim that, some unidentified miscreants set fire to the Family Welfare Office located near District Hospital at Senapati District HQ. The office was burnt in the wee hours.
Taking serious note of the incident, the organization has condemned the attack and has further pointed out that any form of violence or destructions against any medical Institutions/structures would be highly criticized and punished for.
The NPO appealed to all the organizations that despite the agitations, the Medical centers should be protected. It further urged all the organizations and individuals refrain from damaging any Public Offices especially Medical/Health, Fire Service, Educational Institutions or PHED.
Reports confirmed that huge stocks of medicine, freezing equipments, immunization machines, and important offices including CMO's, DIOs, documents and Conference Hall were destroyed by the blazing fire.
Questions are being raised about the motives for such defaming actions and the NPO has started investigations on priority.
Further, President, NPO, Senapati, M. Dili, in a press note demanded clarification on the unjustifiable action. He further stated that such irrational acts would hinder the medical system of the District.
The NPO also appealed before the public to focus on the issue mentally and spiritually rather than resorting to violence.
