The Xperia X10 Mini will reportedly be made available via Vodafone UK soon.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10’s younger brother, the Xperia X10 Mini, come with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5megopixel, geo tagging camera with auto focus and video recording capabilities.
As the name imply, the frame of the Xperia X10 Mini is more compact than Xperia X10. The device, which is equipped with 600MHz processor, has a 2.55-inch display with a resolution of 240 by 320.
Like its big brother, it runs Android 1.6. The operating system could be upgraded to 2.1 later this year.
Meanwhile, Sony Ericsson has announced that online streaming music service Spotify would be made available to Xperia X10 owners as the firm had integrated the service with the Timescape and Mediascape content management systems of the Android-based smartphone.
Spotify would be presented as an online music service through Mediascape, while songs played through Spotify would appear as event ‘tiles’ in Timescape.
The Xperia X10 is already available in the UK for free from a range of operators on a two year £30 to £35 per month contract. The Mini is also expected to cost in the similar range.
