The nominations for this year’s Macworld Awards, which will take place on June 24th at The Northumberland in London, have been revealed.

The iPhone and iPod Apps have been placed under two categories viz. Entertainment & Lifestyle and Business & Utility.

Clickgamer - Angry Birds, ALK Technologies - CoPilot Live, Art and Mobile - Quad Camera – Multishot, The Mill - Mill Color and WeatherPro - Weather Pro have nominated under the Best iPhone Entertainment & Lifestyle App category.

LogMeIn - LogMeIn Ignition, FileMaker Inc. – Bento, Cultured Code – Things, Avatron Software - Air Sharing Pro, QuickOffice - QuickOffice Mobile Office Suite have been nominated under Best iPhone Business & Utility App category.

Commenting on the event, Macworld UK's Editor in Chief Mark Hattersley said, “With roughly a quarter of a million apps to choose from, narrowing them down to the 10 best of the year was a tough call for the team.”
