Google to cover all UK streets via Streetview technology

Search giant Google's Streetview technology will cover almost all the streets and roads in the UK, providing their 360-degree images via Google in both rural and urban areas.

Last year, Google had launched Streetview in 25 cities in the UK, covering around 12 per cent of country's streets and roads. Since then the company has been surveying the rest of the UK to cover all the country.

The service has already covered the whole of France, Spain, Italy and the US.

In the UK, Google's Streetview technology will cover a total of around 238,000 miles, starting Thursday.

In addition, Google added a new feature to the service: Street View images to make it more accurate.

In case a user thinks that some thing is mentioned in the wrong place in the Google Maps, he can move it to the right place via Street View images. The company said that Street View images make the edit much easier.
