Virgin Media to offer free landline-to-mobile calls

Virgin Media has said that it would offer free calls from Virgin landlines to Virgin mobile phones from the start of April.

As per announcement, Virgin’s landline customers will be able to call the company’s mobile customers free of cost.

Virgin Media is the first UK carrier to offer such a service.

However, company’s free calls packages apply only to landline phones. Company will charge 11.99 pounds for free calls package for the weekend, while 15.44 pounds for evenings & weekends. Unlimited free calls package will cost 19.94 pounds.

Virgin’s concerned move is expected to increase its customer base. In case the company gains a considerable market share, its rivals may follow suit.
