LinkedIn now has more than 300 million members
World's largest professional site,LinkedIn has said that it has now more than 300 million members across the world.
The company also said that more than half of its members are located outside the United States, indicating the network has become a major. LinkedIn vice president Deep Nishar said that the company believes that it will have to attract more active users to grow in the future and it will have to focus on users using Internet on mobile.
Nishar said that targeting mobile users are important for the growth of the website. He said that mobile accounts for more than 50 percent of all global traffic and the site will have to focus on mobile users from the around the world.
LinkedIn vice president Deep Nishar said, "While this is an exciting moment, we still have a long way to go to realize our vision of creating economic opportunity for every one of the 3.3 billion people in the global workforce. Already, our members in dozens of locations including Costa Rica, Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, use LinkedIn more on their mobile devices than on their desktop computers."
