Jeep Australia launches Wrangler ‘Dragon Edition’
Jeep Australia has just launched a second special edition of its widely acclaimed iconic off-road four-wheel-drive stalwart Wrangler.
The new Dragon Edition is based on the Wrangler Unlimited Overland four-door, but some noticeable improvements and additions allow it to look unique. The new special edition adds 18-inch wheels, bronze highlights to the front-end garnishes, badges and the Mopar fuel door bolts.
The manufacturer has also splashed the large dragon graphic across the vehicle's body and added spare-wheel cover that was first introduced on the Wrangler at Beijing Motor Show in 2012.
As far as interior is concerned, the new edition features black Nappa leather seat trim with an embossed pattern, piano black vent rings, as well as numerous bronze stitch & finish accents.
Available exclusively in black exterior finish, the Dragon Edition is powered by a 209kW/347Nm 3.6 litre V6 petrol engine manufactured by Chrysler Group. The powerful engine is paired to a five-speed automatic transmission.
However, all those striking features come at a cost. The Wrangler Dragon has been priced at a whopping $51,000, which makes it as the most expensive model in the line-up, above the $47,000 Wrangler Overland and the $47-49,000 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited models.
