According to the Yonhap news agency, the sales of the new Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone have already hit the enviable `10 million' mark --- with the milestone having been touched a little earlier than projected.
In a last month prediction about the Android-based Galaxy S3's sales, the Samsung CEO had said that the company's new flagship handset will seemingly reach the '10 million units sold' landmark by the end of July.
However, though Samsung is yet to disclose the precise sales figures for Galaxy S3, Shin Jong-kyun - the president of the company's information technology and mobile communication unit - has recently revealed that the sales of the smartphone have crossed the `10 million mark', a few days ahead of the predictions.
With the Galaxy S3 sales now having gone past the `10 million' milestone, the figures underscore the fact that the demand for the handset has been so overwhelming that its `per day' sales during the last two-month period have been approximately 190,000 units.
Boasting some highly impressive features, include a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display and a dual-core processor, the Galaxy S3 - which is available through AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile - has been awarded an Editors' Choice rating by CNET, with the handset earning four stars out of five.
Among the rave reviews that the Galaxy S3 has received, the handset has been lauded for its "high-performing hardware and creative software features" by reviewer Jessica Dolcourt, who has described it as "an excellent, top-end phone."
