The list of award-winning games at the VGAs began with the grabbing of the ‘Game of the Year’ trophy by Bethesda Softworks’ dragon-assassination heroic, ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.’

The maximum number of awards came the way of Valve's sci-fi puzzler ‘Portal 2’ which won five trophies for best PC game, multiplayer and downloadable content, along with Ellen McLain as GLaDOS being named the best performance by female human, and Stephen Merchant for best performance as male human.

The other titles which grabbed more than one trophy included: Rocksteady's ‘Batman: Arkham City’ which won for best character for the Joker and best action-adventure; Supergiant Games' ‘Bastion’ for being the best downloadable game, as well as song and original score; and Nintendo's ‘The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword,’ for the best motion and Wii game.

Among the other winners were ‘Mortal Kombat’ which got the award for the best fighting game; ‘Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception’ for best graphics; ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ for best shooter; and ‘World of Warcraft’ developer Blizzard for the gamer god.
