Thomas Cook is Poorest in Quality

Thomas Cook, a big name in travel industry is at bottom three out of 29 companies in a poll of 4,500 holidaymakers. Can you believe it? But it is a truth. Britain’s second-largest tour operator is the poorest in giving quality service as resort reps and the quality of flights and transfers.

The survey of 4,500 Consumers’ Association members criticizes Thomas Cook’s “poor quality hotel rooms and unhelpful resort staff”. The tour operator got only two stars out of five for value-for- money.

But some small names are seen coming up with France specialist VFB Holidays topping the table with 94% for satisfaction and five stars for accommodation, journey and organization.

But this company is not the only one which has a big name but a poor face there are some more of big names hiding behind it as Virgin Holidays, Princess Cruises and the mass-market sister companies, Thomson and First Choice.

Rochelle Turner, head of research for which? Holiday, said, "It's great to see the small operators doing so well. They have the advantage of being able to offer a more personalized service”.
