Removal of Pedophile's Guide is half-victory

Following severe criticism and pressure, online retailer Amazon stopped selling the self-published book entitled, "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-Lover's Code of Conduct.”

The controversial book, which was available for download in retailer’s Kindle store, provides descriptions of a child’s sexual encounters with an adult. The writer of the book dedicated it to men and boys of the present generation along with those who after becoming older will understand their pedosexual attraction to younger boys.

The electronic book, which was on sale for $4.79, was not illustrated. But, its description stirred hornet’s nest, which forced Amazon to pull it.

But, the deduction of the book from the Kindle store is being taken as only a half-victory because numerous critics are still assailing Amazon for continuing to sell similar books on pedophilia.

Another sexually-graphic electronic book titled, “Our Gardens of Flesh: From the Seeds of Lust Springs the Harvest of Love” is still available to download.

On the other hand, a spokeswoman for the online retailer stated, "Amazon believes it is censorship not to sell certain books simply because we or others believe their message is objectionable.”

Currently, there are as many as 12,000 members of public who are campaigning for “Boycott Amazon” movement.
