Phones4U has announced that it would provide the purchasers of the Samsung Galaxy Tab with free access to Wi-Fi.

The retailer has partnered with Freerunner to offer exclusively free Wi-Fi. Under the offer, called "Free Wi-Fi forever", users will be able to access more than 1,000 Freerunner hotspots in pubs, coffee shops, sports venues, retail outlets and local community buildings, across the United Kingdom.

In addition, Freerunner will provide a free "hotspot finder" application that lets users to discover the mobile hotspots more easily.

Phones4U is offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet computer for £499.95, and for £199.99 when bought with a Samsung Europa smartphone on £45-a-month, two-year contract.

The newly released Galaxy Tab is a 7-inch touchscreen device which also allows users to make phone calls and video calls. Its screen features a resolution of 1024 by 600 pixels, many other striking features like that of 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 Hummingbird processor, two cameras- front and back, with LED Flash, HDMI dock, a QWERTY keyboard dock, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, triband HSDPA and quadband GSM.

Electronics giant Samsung has high hopes from its much-hyped tablet computer. The manufacturer claims that the Galaxy Tab will be able to report more than one million sales this year.
