New Guidelines for Treatment of Depression
New Guidelines for Treatment of Depression

The new guidelines for the treatment of depression include suggestions on the use of talk therapy, exercise, medication and other alternative treatments.

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) has finally released updated guidelines on the treatment of depressive disorder on Friday and it was the first update over the treatment in ten years. Before the release of the new updated guidelines, an independent panel of the depression treatment experts closely reviewed all the aspects of the new and old guidelines.

The final document on the new guidelines is a verification and validation of the best ways to treat a depression disorder. The group of researchers worked hard and took five years to complete the research and create the new guidelines.

A survey report says there is almost one in ten adults in the US has a depression disorder and about 3.4% of those people meet the criteria of a serious depression.

Most of the people in the world have depressions in different levels. The serious depression on a person can lead him/her to madness. So the current passing to change the brain chemistry is still the last way for the doctors.
