T-Mobile executives favor merger with Orange

The German group Deutsche Telekom is in talks with three potential buyers of British unit T-Mobile UK. The three potential buyers are France Telecom, Telefonica and Vodafone.

It was informed that Vodafone and Telefónica have offered approximately £4 billion for the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary T-Mobile UK.

But as per reports by the Guardian, T-Mobile management has been favoring a deal with Orange subsidiary of France Telecom SA as according to them bids made by Vodafone and Telefónica are short of expectations.

The Guardian also stated that France Telecom wanted the majority stake in the merged group.

In case Vodafone acquires T-Mobile UK, it will become be the biggest operator in the country.

Analysts have valued the T-Mobile UK between £2.6 billion to £3.5 billion.
