Good Progress Expected Over the Coming Year by Aggreko

Aggreko PLC, the provider of temporary power and temperature control, on Friday announced that, keeping in view the current trends, the company is expecting to make good progress over the coming year, after the results posted for the fourth quarter have been better-than-expected.

In 2010, the firm has shared that it will continue to progress on the back of "encouraging activity levels in International Power Projects". In addition, the firm is expecting a huge boost in its local business unit in light of major events like Winter Olympics in Vancouver, for which Aggreko is the official supplier of power and temperature control.

"Outside of major events, all we can say at this stage is that conditions are getting no worse and we are hopeful that we will start to see some improvement in the coming year", the company said.

For the complete year, the firm is expecting revenue of a little over 1 Billion Pounds, and an operating profit of nearly 260 Million Pounds. Revenue, on the other hand, is expected to surge by 7%, and earnings per share are estimated to go up by 33%.

On Thursday, the company's shares closed at 835 pence, valuing it at 2.28 Billion Pounds. So far this year, the shares of the firm have risen 87%.
