Women have More Sensitive Touch than Men Due To Small Hands

Scientists have reportedly come up with a fresh and wonderful explanation as to why women have much more sense towards touch when compared to men. The reason was revealed to be the fingertips. In simpler terms, women have more sense of touch as they have smaller hands and hence small fingers and it has been discovered that the sensitivity is due to the relative size of the fingertips.

This discovery has led to better understanding of the fact that women have a keener perspective on things than men, and that is because in an average, women are relatively smaller than men. It has also discovered that when compared amongst the fingers, the index finger was much more sensitive than the little finger, and the reason was pointed out to the fact that it was used more and it has also been speculated that the sensitivity improves with continued use.

Scientists are currently planning to do further research on touch and sensitivity and are on the way to discern whether children are more sensitive as they had smaller bodies and hence very small hands as compared to adults.
