Abbott calls off the baby product

Many of the cans of the popular baby formula have been withdrawn soon after the Asian longhorn beetle was detected in a canned product.

UK parents are have been affected by the calling off the product line and a family has been reported to be affected after in taking the food product.

The food product Similac is a popular baby formula. The Augusta family was reported of feeding their 11-week-old daughter which contained larva coming out of the Asian longhorn beetles found in one of their Michigan factories.

Kristin Augusta noticed about the same and decide to recall the same and is stated that CC formula was one of thousands under calling back products similar to box of Similac on the shelf at Wal-Mart.

A representative for Abbot’s, the company that makes Similac, said, “They’ve pulled all of the tainted formula out of circulation and that 99.8 percent of their products were not affected.”

The firm has experienced a loss of $100 million on this recall.
