The BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone, which is already available in the US, has been listed by the British online retailer eXpansys on its website.
Online retailer’s website eXpansys.com is offering the latest OS 6-based BlackBerry Torch SIM-free with a price tag of £570 and a shipping date of October 1.
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 comes with a 624 MHz processor, a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, portrait-sliding QWERTY keypad, an optical trackpad and a 5-megopixel camera with auto focus an a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels along with some other striking functions such as image stabilization, scene modes, geo-tagging and zoom.
No network provider in the UK has yet announced exactly when it would start offering branded models on contract.
Meanwhile, analyst iSuppli said that BlackBerry manufacturer Research in Motion could be making more profit by selling Torch 9800 smartphone than Apple is pocketing by selling iPhone 4 as RIM is making less costs to make the device.
In the US, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone is available on the AT&T network. As per estimates, 100,000-150,000 units of the popular phone were sold during its first weekend.
