The Humane Society Of Owasso Launched for Pets’ Sake

In an attempt to help more homeless animals in a more effective way, the Human Society of Tulsa celebrated the inauguration of its Owasso branch on the 14th of August, starting its activities with a massive event for pets, including free food and adoptions. Tulsa reported that the main cause behind establishing this new facility is to decrease the pressure on other Tulsa pet care facilities, which are heavily crowded with homeless animals in need of help.

Pet lovers seemed to appreciate the idea and the efforts exerted to protect these animals to provide them with the decent life they deserve. Therefore, families themselves set out on promoting the adoptions of homeless pets instead of buying them from any pet stores.

Tyler McClellan, one of the pet lovers who attended the event, said, "We chose to adopt one, I mean everybody's seen the stuff about the puppy mills, and we just didn't want to be a part of that. And we found one that would fit us perfectly”. His wife Bethany expressed her extreme joy for adopting ‘Cherry’.

One of the Human Society of Tulsa officials, Kiley Roberson, stated that these unfortunate pets would love their owners as much as other fancy pure bred animals would do.
