Traffic Stopped to Raise Funds for ‘Fill the Boot’ Fundraiser

With an aim to collect funds for Jerry's Kids and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, under Lockwood annual Fill The Boot fundraiser, Lockwood, firefighters halted traffic in the Billings Heights on Saturday.

They stopped the cars and collected money for a good cause. It has been 22 years when the event begun. Lockwood Fire Department manages to raise a sum of $11,000 every year. They take advantage of a hood amount of traffic in the Heights.

Lockwood Fire Captain, Keith Kober said, “Anytime we can help the less fortunate the better. I mean that's part of what we do is give back to the community and we love to do it”.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association organizes a summer camp for kids who suffer from MD and the funds raised for the MDA in Montana remain for the state use to help local kids.

One of the firefighter shared that helping children in need is a very humane act and one gets happiness by doing it.
