Bill Gates Says Moore’s Law Does Not Benefit All Areas of Technology

At a technology conference held in Lake Tahoe, California, Bill Gates said that the exponential augmentation in technology is not feasible every year. He further said that people are getting carried away by the Moore's Law and trying to implement this law in every possible field related to technology.

According to him, there are many areas of technology that get benefited from Moore’s Law. Hard disk storage space, gene-sequencing charges, biological records, fiber capacity, and betterment in software modeling are some of the areas which are greatly benefited from Moore’s Law.

He also mentioned that not all parts of technology get the advantage under Moore’s law. One such particular area is batteries, where no improvement has been noted. He stated that there many substantial constraints in this segment.

At the conference, he also discussed about the use of improved software modeling tools. In addition to that he expressed his dissatisfaction with the American political system.

While giving an interview to CNET, Gates talked about his future plans for software modeling and other Microsoft assignments with which he is still associated.
