Bonanza Time for Pike County Shoppers

Pike County shoppers will be offered the opportunity for the coming three days time to save money on school supplies.

The 5th Annual Sales Tax Holiday started today at 12: 01in the morning and will end on August 8 at midnight.

While the holiday period is on, sales tax would be lifted on definitive products. Items like clothing with a price of $100 or less than that, PCs, computer software and school computers that cost $750 or lesser than that, various other school supplies that come at a cost of $50 or less and books worth $30 or less will not levied with sales tax.

Along with the state sales tax, local sales tax collections would as well be lifted all this while, which in turn will let shoppers get the best of the deals at far affordable prices.

This holiday period would not just be an opportunity for the shoppers but also for the local businesses, since this would be the time to make some extra profits.

Richard Moultry, Store Manager of the Dollar General at Southland Village said that the holiday period has been successful in the previous years, particularly in the last year, so it is obvious to expect a good turnout this time too, further boosting the markets.
