HMSI may bring one more low-cost bike

After making a lot of noise in the scooters segment, one cannot deny the fact that HMSI has surely been able to make a mark for itself in the motorcycle segment as well.

In fact, its products like Unicorn and twister has been able to bring high volumes to the door of the company.

Moreover, after the Honda's fully-owned subsidiary launched the Twister 110cc in the domestic market in competition to the products of its sister company, Hero Honda where the Japanese company works in a JV with the Munjal family promoted - Hero Group, it is now planning to bring in another product in the same segment to firm up its offerings.

HMSI President and CEO Shinji Aoyama said that this is an option that the company well considers for its growth. Moreover, Aoyama said that the company will be looking at going more mass in its approach in the Indian market. It is believed that the upcoming product from the company will sport a price lower than the Twister, that currently has a Delhi ex-showroom price of Rs 43000.
