Grossi Says Healthcare Reforms Will Continue
U.S. Department of Health & Human Services

The Regional Director of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Joanne Corte Grossi, revealed on Wednesday that presently 46 million people in America do not have health insurance.

Grossi also said that 16% of the economic productivity has been engaged in the healthcare system. This indicates that the healthcare reform is here to stay.

The revelation was made at healthcare reform bill update for the members of the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce. The event was sponsored by the Delta Development Group.

Grossi gave a power point presentation where she highlighted the different aspects of the law.

She said that the administration is making attempts to make the Medicare strong. She disclosed that this will be made possible by closing the doughnut hole and providing healthcare free of cost to people.

Moreover, henceforth the Government would also not provide coverage to the people who have certain pre-existing conditions.

She also revealed that the adults up to the age of 26 are likely to stay on their parent’s insurance, even if they are married.

Grossi also stressed on the importance of the healthcare insurance. She said that small business houses should also provide health cover to their employees so that they take precautionary measures like immunizations, in the absence of which they will get sick.
